Glamorous Master Bedroom

My client wanted a master bedroom that is glamorous and luxurious. The bedroom is a transitional space that is done in grays, blue gray and creams. Crystal, glass and mirrors are throughout the room in lighting, wall decor, nightstands and accessories. This room is serene and elegant – what a beautiful space.

Project Overview:

This is a client that I have been working with in other areas of their home. They finally decided to complete their master bedroom.

Glamorous Master Bedroom

Challenges Addressed

The master bedroom was pretty much empty with the exception of a few pieces. We were starting from scratch and everything was to be replaced. The room is a large space and has a great cove ceiling. However, because of the lighter colors originally in the room, the ceiling blended in and went unnoticed. We decided that the chandelier and wallpaper in the niche would remain. My clients wanted a transitional master bedroom in neutral colors of gray and blue grays. She loves a glamorous and luxurious feel to a room.

Design Solutions

I knew when I started this room that I wanted to do something special with the ceiling. I designed the ceiling with using the colors in the cream and gray reflecting the design of the window treatment fabric. The design was hand painted on the ceiling in beautiful metallic silvers. I selected gray paint color for the walls and the lower part of the ceiling, ensuring that the ivory patterned wallpaper would stand out. We selected a deep charcoal fabric for the upholstered bed, adding a great contrast to the ivory patterned wallpaper. We used soft, luxurious fabrics in creams, blue grays, and silver throughout the space in the upholstery and bedding. The use of textures and patterns in the ivory bedding really brought a simple but dimensional feel to the room. We selected a deep finish in the case goods that would again add contrast against the grays and ivory. Crystal, glass and mirrors are throughout the room in lighting, wall decor, nightstands and accessories to add that glamorous feel to the master bedroom that the client loved. We added just a touch of blue gray in the artwork, accessories and chair fabric. My client’s adore the room, raving about how beautiful and serene it feels.
