New York Allure
This New York inspired unisex bedroom is filled with textures throughout the grey and black modern bedding, layered cow hide rug, and the window treatments. The dark wallpaper makes for great contrast in the space, and the gold & black light fixtures really make the space pop.
Our Design Solutions
This bedroom suite was designed with inspiration pulled from open NY living. We created three zones in the bedroom: the sleeping quarters, office and seating area. This client had moved from NY so we wanted to give her space that city feel by creating a loft like experience in her seating area through layering photos and books. We used a very rich color palette mixed with layered textured for an upscale yet cozy experience.
This master suite is being occupied by a male and female married couple so it was important to keep the space unisex, edgy enough so that he would want to lounge in his bedroom but also feminine enough so that she still feels comfortable. We knew she loved black so we carried that throughout the space starting with a black accent wall in the seating area and secondly with a dark grey and black accent wallpaper in the sleeping quarters. We also used black in the window treatment hardware. We continued the black accents in the seating area with the TV credenza, upholstery fabric, layered rugs and in the metal and leather accents on the light fixture.
